For as long as she can remember, she has been fascinated by why capable people repeat the same painful patterns. Much of what we call personality is adaptation — strategies that once kept us safe and later keep us stuck.
She does not think her role is to help people become someone new. It is to help them find who they already are beneath fear, shame, and performance.
The short version of the long training
BA Social Sciences (Psychology), University of South Africa, 2006. Honours work at UCT. Gottman Method couples therapy, levels 1 and 2. BWRT since 2017. Terry Real, level 1. Registered with the HPCSA; member of PsySSA. Private practice since 2013, more than twenty years with families.
She started as a play therapist. The children were often carrying something that belonged to the whole family. Helping the parents changed whether the child needed to keep coming.
She is a licensed counsellor in South Africa. She is not offering counselling anymore. She offers international relationship and identity coaching.
Faith, without the performance
Her father, Francois du Toit, translated the Mirror Bible. That translation shaped what she thinks God is like, and therefore what she thinks people are like.
She is not a theologian. She has tattoos. She sometimes swears. Whether you are rooted in faith, uncertain, or carrying hurt from religion, the invitation is more grace than shame.
The writing that school said wasn't her lane
She loved writing as a child and was dyslexic before anyone named it. An ADHD and autism diagnosis came much later. God Speaks Wealth became a bestseller anyway. She is writing God Speaks Health next.
The hardest thing school told her about herself was not proof of who she was.
